ABOUT US

iCare provides education, outreach, and support services to African-Americans, Latinos, and other at-risk communities challenged with Alzheimer’s disease and other related dementias.

International Coalition for Alzheimer’s Research and Education (iCare) was founded October 12, 2007.  Over the past 11 years, iCare has dedicated its efforts to advocating and educating at-risk populations regarding Alzheimer’s disease and other related dementias.

Within the African-American and Latino communities, research has suggested that the prevalence of Alzheimer’s disease is much higher within these populations than any other ethnic groups. Therefore, the organization’s guiding principles are grounded in outreach, education, and support services aimed at serving the community.

VISION

Partner with local, state, and national organizations that are striving to eradicate the disease, assemble communities, and provide resources to African-Americans, Latinos, and other minority ethnic groups at risk.

MISSION

To educate and inform communities on the latest research, treatment, and support services available to persons suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and other related dementias.

VALUES

Caring for someone with Alzheimer’s disease requires compassion, trust, and stewardship which reflects our value system.
